Bruce’s (pet friendly) Beauties

Meet Bruce, our Live Local pet-friendly representative.

Bruce is a rescue that has been in the full swing of the St Francis lifestyle, even before St Francis Animal Rescue helped him find his forever home.

Bruce has done it all, from visiting local coffee shops for a quick biscuit treat to attending Sunday Roasts and enjoying the night life at local pubs. With such a vast knowledge of the area, we thought
“Who better than to show us the best pet-friendly destinations in St Francis?”

We armed ourselves with his lead, a pocket full of doggy treats and let him show us the way…

Joe Fish

For the sophisticated St Francis doggos, the live music and endless supply of rib bones on a Sunday is almost irresistible.

With the weekly calamari and rib platter special, both humans and their furry friends will leave Joe Fish with smiling faces and full tummies.

Olive Tree Junction

Bruce’s best friend, Zoe, is the resident Olive Tree fur child and she loves making new friends. If you’re looking for a play date to ware your four-legged friend out, Olive Tree’s enclosed garden provides the perfect environment. You can leave the doggos to play while you grab a tasty home-cooked meal and a cold beer.

Pop In

As the only pet friendly beauty bar in the area, Pop In Beauty Bar is the best choice for fur mommies that don’t want to leave their kids sitting at home all day.

The staff at Pop In love meeting new furry faces and provide refreshments for both doggies and owners. One local regular even gets her own bowl of tea, when she visits. Tea party, anyone?

Quaysyde’s resident Siamese cat keeps the canines in line here (but can also outrun them, if need be). Well-socialised doggos love Quaysyde’s waterfront setting, meaty aromas and all the attention they get from the locals here.

Bruce is a bit of a pizza addict and loves it when diners share the toppings of their carnivore pizza with him. The sausage pizza is also one of his favourites. Ooh… and ribs…
There are just so many treats!

Rambling Rose

If you think the service is good for the people here, you should see the service for the pets! Doggo dining at its finest, your furchild will be served with a fresh dog biscuit and bowl of water before your coffee even arrives at your table.

The staff at Rambling Rose really know how to make your best friend feel at home.

St Francis Brewing Company

Being quite the party animal, Bruce loves the fact that he can attend live music events and have a barking good night out, with some of his human friends. The staff at St Francis Brewing Company even provide him with his own water bowl, to make sure he is hydrated enough to dance the night away. While Bruce isn’t much of a beer drinker, he does love the treats that occasionally get snuck out of the kitchen for him.

During the day, he loves the family vibe and there are usually other fluffy friends and kids to play with.

Tails and Thyme

One of Bruce’s favourites, Tails and Thyme has a complimentary bowl of doggy pellets and water sitting outside for the pleasure of their furry patrons. From time to time, Abby even sneaks out some tasty biltong! But that could just be especially for Bruce…

Two Harbours Walk

For owners and their companions that like to get out into the fresh air, the Two Harbours Walk is the perfect outing to burn up that extra energy.

Starting at Granny’s Pool, the trail runs just over 2km and ends at Port St Francis, where you can both stop in at Quayside Pub for refreshments.

St Francis, in itself, is great at accommodating pets and welcoming them into the village. If you are looking to bring your fur children on holiday, take a look at our Pet Friendly Accommodation page to find the best places to stay. You and your four-legged friend are guaranteed to love it! We know Bruce does…
