St Francis Bay boasts a variety of picturesque views, endless beaches, fun family activities and a unique holiday experience for all those that visit. There are however a handful of activities that capture the experience completely. You just have to try them!

Have you even reeeeally experienced St Francis Bay if you haven’t tried these?

Beer tasting at the brewery

St Francis Brewing Company is famous for their award-winning selection of craft beers. Over the years, they have perfected the art of capturing the taste of St Francis into a bottle.

From the all-time favourite Beach Blonde Ale, to the Wild Side IPA, to their Sunshine White Beer, you’ll just love trying all the different tastes!

For an even more epic experience, check out the events calendar and look out for the great local musos that visit. With the good music, cold beer, warm service and great vibes, you’ll never want to leave!

A Canal Cruise

The St Francis Bay Canals have a culture of their own, especially during December holiday season, when they come alive with excitement, parties and energy.

Canal cruises are a right of passage into the St Francis lifestyle. Cruising between the beautiful white waterside houses, you can pack a picnic and a cooler box and enjoy a leisurely ride through the canals and up the Kromme River.

St Francis Market

Ideal family outing to St Francis Bay, the St Francis Market takes place on the last Saturday of each month. Find the market under the trees, behind St Francis Brewing Company, and shop at the vast variety of stalls from fresh produce, yummy treats, great coffee, original art, designer clothing and handmade crafts.

Surfing the famous Bruce’s Beauties

Crowned ‘the Father of Surf Films’, Bruce Brown in turn exposed this local swell that starred in the film, Endless Summer, later to be dubbed as ‘Bruce’s Beauties’.

Join the likes of legendary surfers, Mike Hynson and Robert August, and ride through the barrels of this iconic surf spot.

Whale Watching

Out of all the St Francis activities, this may be the most breathtaking.
Predominantly between October and January, you can view these majestic giants of the sea, just off of the St Francis Bay coast.

If you are visiting St Francis in the “whale window”, you definitely want to give a whale watching tour a go!

Sunset Rock

Being the most south-east point of Africa, Cape St Francis is one of the few points in the world where you can watch the sun both rise and set over the ocean.

Bring a picnic, a bottle of champagne and even your musical instruments! This little spot is a beautiful gathering, during holiday seasons, where you can relax, watch the sunset, make some friends and even pop the question to your special someone!

Take the first road to your right, as you enter Cape St Francis. Follow it all the way and then jump out and make your way down to the rocks.
